In Word How to You Repeat Clip Art on the Same Page

If the header text is too big, information technology will extend downward (and even truncate). Besides, the footer volition extend upwards. At some point, they'll overlap as y'all are experiencing.

The solution is to reduce the size or amount of text you are attempting to fit in the header or footer.

Hi in that location Mike,

Thank you for your assistance. A sample of the first folio would look something like this:

  1. Cull Folio orientation and size (example Portrait and 4 by 6) set in Page setup
  2. Next, type " Days Until", in the proper size, and font style and center horizontally and, vertically.
  3. Now Click On Footer and, beginning with almost 2" High Footer. Use same Font Way and Size, type Event name any it is.
  4. Finally, become to Header and Set header as well for almost 2" loftier Header. Repeat same basic process as with Footer.
  5.  Now save  document.

Now that you take setup play with Font sizes so that font size will fit in 2" Margin and center the text for main portion so that information technology fits vertically and horizontally.  If you your going to e-mail I would catechumen to pdf if you don't want information technology to update to correct days when its opened. In that case you lot would have to utilise some mathematical function for the number of days which complicate matters.

Look for Daniels reply I am certain he volition come up upwardly with something better.  Only if he doesn't effort the above out and encounter if information technology will work. I'd get-go out in header and footer with 36 Bespeak font and work yous way up  until the font begins to be cut off. Then back up enough then the entire word shows unclipped. Do the same, in both Header and footer.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your replies. I believe the issue I am having is that the text and sizing I want is currently non working within the designated header and footer.

With the first resolution, I am non able to run across the bottom text i.due east. "Outcome Proper name" and with Bob's respond, the folio number of "1" is not dynamic i.east. I need the numbers to increment per page.

Does anyone accept a resolution so that I can have incrementing page numbers and the "Event Proper noun" and "Mean solar day Until" text to brandish on every folio?

Thanks!

Eric

You don't need to use headers and footers and in fact, as you've discovered, they were non invented to take up the whole folio. Try this:

  1. Create a new certificate
  2. In the Ribbon, select the Layout tab
  3. In the farthermost right, click on the Borders icon
  4. Select the borders you want, along with thickness and colour
  5. Back in the document, in Give-and-take's chief carte du jour at the top select Insert > Field
  6. In the list to the right, scroll down to "Page" and insert the field
  7. Select the field just inserted, center information technology on the page and increase its size (not too large—exit room for three digits)
  8. Press Render and enter the rest of the info
  9. Add a page break (Insert > Break > Page Break)
  10. This will exist easier in Typhoon View: Select the number, the  added text and the Folio Intermission, re-create to the clipboard and paste several times
  11. For speed, echo step 10 incrementally (like afterwards you take 10 items)

If the text does not fit on one page, at that place is not enough room for it. Reduce the point size, alter to some other font (like Arial Narrow), set a fixed line spacing (Format > Paragraph > Line Spacing > Exactly). You tin even compact the type (Format > Font > Avant-garde, then set values for Calibration, Spacing or Kerning).

Well, you didn't say you wanted sequential numbering... I kinda figured that but was feeling a bit sadistic and so I decided to brand you beg :-)

To do that you lot merely need to replace the zero with the folio number:

In the H/F, use Insert> Page Number - that will insert a frame in the designated place. Select & Cut the frame, then Paste it into the first line of the Text Box. Format, marshal the content, etc., then proceed with my previous Stride 3. Select the shape. Hither's the result'

Hey Daniel, a couple of points;

Re: "headers and footers... were not invented to take upwards the whole page."

Well, yes they were, that'due south exactly what they were designed to practice:-) H/F is a layer in the structure of a certificate which comprises the entire 'page' edge to edge. It'southward overall content is not constrained to the space above/below the demarcation lines. Those markers simply are identifiers & indicators of how far from the edge of the page inline content will begin* - Floating content can exist positioned anywhere within the folio edges for any type of graphic objects the user wishes to include... it isn't restricted to Watermarks.

*[I recollect this may be what the OP was running into - The over-sized content was In Line with Text which caused, essentially, a leading conflict.]

Re "You don't need to use headers and footers"

Maybe non... a subjective indicate, of grade, but I'd far rather do it in one case rather than having to paste several hundred pages. In general, if doing something similar this in Word, information technology's far more than efficient in many ways to use the Header/Footer rather than wholesale pasting of repetitive content. I'd also exist concerned with pasting that many instances of the aforementioned field, particularly given Word 2016 problems with high volume copy/paste.
